Integrated intercom solutions provider Commend UK Ltd, (the new name for Complus Teltronic Ltd), launched “Intercom Client”, a virtual Intercom Master Station for a computer. Based on Commend’s IoIP® (Intercom over IP) technology it enables any Windows® PC to be used as an Intercom Master Station.
Intercom Client can be used on most computer workstations, laptops and on screens in security control rooms. It replaces the need for a physical Master Station on a control desk, beneficial when operating a ‘tidy desk’ policy, or where space is limited.
This innovative solution can be combined with existing Commend Intercom Solutions, providing a Master Station to answer intercom calls from entry barriers, doors, lifts, disabled toilets, etc. It can also be used to communicate directly with other Master Stations, either where hard wired or over IP on your private network. Carrying out the same functions as the existing EE 811 Intercom Master Station; the Intercom Client displays the familiar Commend station with numeric keypad, function keys and displays on the monitor. It also can include an integrated video feed. It is compatible with mouse, computer keyboard or touch-screen control.
Users can communicate over a secure network through all conversation modes; Simplex; Duplex and Full Open Duplex®. Ideally suited to office and remote worker communication, it is easily integrated into third party systems; e.g. video and access control.
Throughout the duration of the show, interactive demonstrations of the Intercom Client and existing Commend security and communication products will be available, at stand number D40, Hall 4.
