Complus Teltronic Ltd a Commend company, suppliers of Integrated Intercom Solutions launched the latest in the Intercom Server range – the GE800 and GE300 - at the close of their successful series of technology workshops, with the Stansted venue attended by nearly 60 customers.
The new intercom servers have been designed to improve the simplicity of installation and operation, to have greater operational efficiency with lower power consumption, less heat generation, and greater processing power. Furthermore, they are compatible with older Commend intercom equipment and above all have enhanced the crystal clear clarity of speech for which the company is renowned – from 7 KHz to 16 KHz speech bandwidth.
In security operations, where CCTV, access control, PA and telephone systems need to be integrated and networked, equipment reliability is paramount. Commend claim its new GE300 and GE800 servers offer a 99.995% reliability rating. One of the ways this has been achieved is by eliminating many of the internal cables and plugs in favour of cards that plug directly into the main bus circuit board. Security is further enhanced by a rapid reboot feature that gets the system operational again within seconds.
GE800 servers can handle 112 IP (internet protocol) users or 56 analogue or digital users. Both models are fitted with large memories so initially only 30% is used; the remainder being reserved for future features and developments. The GE800 also has a text messaging system that allows standard voice messages to be activated directly within the system.
